Better Picture Notes

Step 1: Change your cameras resolution to the highest possible. If you have a smaller quality then change it to fine quality.
Step 2: Change your settings to automatic, if there are problems with the outcome of the picture then change some settings manually.
Step 3: Try to bring your camera everywhere to find more opportunities to take photographs especially outside. Remember to always carry spare batteries.
Step 4: Always keep your lens free from obstruction. Set your white balance on your camera. Also try to keep your ISO speed slower to prevent "noisy" pictures.
Step 5: Make sure you plan out your photo frame before you actually take the shot. Get rid of any distractions but you do not necessarily have to follow these guidelines: Don't be scared to zoom in, try new angles, focus on only certain parts, or try new ways to balance your camera settings.
Step 6: Avoid blurry pictures by: Keeping still, use a tripod if necessary, find different ways to avoid your camera shaking, and lastly try to relax and don't shake when pushing the shutter button.
Step 7: Try to avoid red eye by taking your pictures in a well lit area and if needed point the flash towards their forehead.
Step 8: Stay organized by looking at your photos and make sure you practice, practice, practice.

Notes

  1. Her work was based on the relationship between fact and fiction and the line between the two.
  2. She uses her photographs to get across an idea about story telling.
  3. She started creating these images based on the idea of lying.
  4. She says that when someone says they love you that they might not mean it based on their facial expressions.
  5. The first type of art that she made was a picture of a women looking down at something you can't see, and then next to the picture was a picture of a book with some of the words and sentences peeled out of the book.
  6. If you were to look closely you could tell that the picture was portraying a fairytale.
  7. Just doing one thing will make you look at something somewhat differently
  8. She wanted to make us feel, taste or be able to think we are actually tasting or seeing  that object in the picture we are looking at.
  9. She wanted the picture to feel like in a way like a visceral feeling.
